Off The Grid has kicked off its Halloween celebration with the Feardrop Update, available across PlayStation 5, Xbox, PC, and supported cloud platforms. The limited-time event “Trick, Treat or Die” runs from October 17 to November 3, bringing a wave of seasonal excitement to the community.

At the heart of the event lies a mysterious scavenger hunt. Ten hidden Candy Bags are scattered across Teardrop Island, challenging players to find them all. Completing the hunt unlocks the “Tooch Decayer” achievement and the exclusive Hell Sack Mask cosmetic. The first player to complete the challenge will receive the serial #1 version of the mask, making it a true collector’s item.

The Feardrop update also introduces Halloween Hexes, a new type of limited seasonal loot. These can be obtained through match rewards or purchased with the in-game token GUN, up to two per day. Each Hex contains rare cosmetics such as the Psycho Mask, Halloween-themed outfits, weapon skins, and emotes — all exclusive to this event and unavailable once it ends.

Teardrop Island itself has undergone a chilling visual makeover. Dense fog, eerie lighting, glowing pumpkins, and haunting skies set the tone for intense matches. Despite the cosmetic changes, the core layout of the island remains familiar, ensuring players can still rely on their tactical knowledge.

Players can also take part in special community challenges. For instance, those who log five active hours in voice chat and rank among the first 200 participants will earn the Sacrifice Mask. Additionally, ten new achievements and an expanded set of weekly challenges keep the gameplay fresh throughout the event.
